A Warning About Homeopathics
by Sibyl McLendon
One of my best friends died last week. Her name was Rhonda,
and she left behind a husband and a 12 year old
son. Rhonda died of a brain hemmorrage.
It was brought on by simply taking ONE homeopathic diet
pill.
You see, she was taking a prescription anti-depressant. She had been stressed the last 3 weeks before she died, and someone told her that taking this pill would give her some extra energy. The so-called 'completely safe, all natural, homeopathic' pill was nothing but caffene and ephedrine. These two things interacted with her anti-depressant and made her blood pressure shoot up over 260. This blew out the major artery in the right side of her brain, and by the time she was rushed to the emergency room, she was brain dead.
This is, of course, a tragic story. Why
am I sharing it? Not for sympathy over losing my best friend. Not
for your warm and loving wishes for her family.
These are all fine things, but I have made it a goal to make
some sense of this tragedy. I am warning people about
the dangers of taking over-the-counter medications when
one is taking
any prescription drugs. Just because something says it
is all-natural doesn't mean it is
harmless! Just because something is labeled
'homeopathic' doesn't mean it is good for you! I urge everyone
reading this article to tell everyone that they know
about it. We need to get the word out about being careful with what pills
you take when you are
on prescription medications. Read labels! Actually read
those warning strips that are on the side of your pill bottle, and believe
them!
Rhonda knew that she was supposed
to avoid caffene while taking her anti-depressant. I have no idea if she
even knew what ephedrine was. But I do know
that she thought it was harmless to take one little pill that was supposed
to be all natural. Her mistake killed her. Please don't let a
mistake like this take a loved one away from you, or take you away from your
loved ones.

The Fool Card
by Eagle Dancing
Greetings. As promised I am starting with the meanings, as I interpret them, of
the Tarot Card Deck. The first card is The Fool.
In the upright position, it means taking risks, innocence, a desire to learn about new things, being carefree, adventure, and sometimes, recklessness. This is one of several cards that can male or female gender-wise.
Upside down (reversed): It stands for being careful who you trust, being
careful about money matters, not taking risks, being careful that you don't
repeat previous mistakes you have made in life or a person who is likely to do
so. Of course, this is my interpretation. Remember that other cards
that are around this card in a reading can affect the meaning. If you get
a different feeling while giving a reading, trust your gut, so to speak.
Next month, The Magician.

Chinese Flourite
by Sibyl McLendon
This issue, I want to tell you
about the beautiful and amazing CHINESE FLOURITE. Chinese flourite
does, indeed, come from China. It is a beautiful stone/crystal.
Every piece has several colors: deep turquoise, light green, purple and
clear are all found in layers in every stone. When polished, they
are transparent. Unpolished, they often have pyrite with
them. Truly, they are gorgeous.
Beautiful, yes, but they are also a very powerful and effective healing tool! Chinese flourite is just miraculous when used for muscular problems such as tendons, muscles, bursitis and bruises. I have first-hand knowledge on this subject. Several years ago, my husband was playing volleyball every Sunday. Being very tall (6'8"!) he is known for his spike. One Sunday, he went up for the kill, the ball came down on his fingers and hit in such a way that it tore his flexor tendon away from the bone on his pinkie finger. The result of this was that the end of his finger fell over and he could not straighten it. A trip to a hand specialist led to it being put in a splint for 16 weeks! At the end of this time, the splint was removed, and. . .his finger fell over just like it was before. Recommendation? Surgery, which he passed on. Believe it or not, just a few weeks later, back again at volleyball, he sustained the exact same injury on a different finger! (I hate volleyball) Knowing what was done last time, we splinted it ourselves.
The difference this time was that every
evening, he would carefully slide the splint off, and rub the affected area with
a chinese flourite cut-and-polished wand. He would
just gently rub it in a circular manner for about 10-15 minutes. He did
this every day for about 4 weeks. He felt strongly that it was
healed, so he removed the splint for a test-wiggle (so to
speak). His finger was fine. We were so amazed that he
started to do the same thing on the droopy finger,
and within about 2 weeks, it started to straighten up.
He now has full use of both fingers.
Since then, we have used chinese flourite a
lot. We recommend it a lot, and every one who has tried it has reported
good results. Interestingly enough, when our Grandson, Anthony, was
teething, he would only chew on a Chinese flourite wand.
It was his choice (he found one on our coffee table),
and he loved it. His teething was very easy with no tears. So, find
a chinese flouite and give it a try. You do not have
to spend a fortune on a cut wand, any
tumbled piece will do. If you can not find any
where you are, e-mail me. I can get you some fairly
inexpensively.
Next month: amethyst.

appreciate it if you
